Burroughs Day of Giving FAQs

WHAT IS THE BURROUGHS DAY OF GIVING?

The annual Burroughs Day of Giving honors the 112 graduating seniors in the class of 2021. Alums, parents, past parents and grandparents come from all over the country for 24 hours on June 7, 2021, the day after graduation, to show their love and support for the class of 2021 with a gift back to Burroughs.

WHEN DOES THE BURROUGHS DAY OF GIVING TAKE PLACE?

The 24 hour fun starts midnight June 6 and goes through the following evening on June 7. Early gifts received between May 31 and June 6 (online and in the mail) will be counted towards the final goal.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Everyone and anyone! We invite the entire Burroughs community - alums, parents, past parents, grandparents and friends - to join us in supporting the school. Together we can provide vital resources for Burroughs' students, their families, faculty, staff and programs!

WHERE CAN I DIRECT MY GIFT?

This year we have four areas of support - each campaign is featured on the main giving page. Click on the area of support you want to support!

WILL MY EMPLOYER MATCH MY GIFT?

Gift matching is an easy way to increase the value of your charitable gift through your employer. The impact to Burroughs may be doubled or possibly tripled!  If you or your spouse work for a matching gift company, please request a matching gift form from your company’s coordinator and enclose it with your gift.

WHAT IS A CHALLENGE GIFT?

Four alums have come forward to give challenge and matching gifts. If the challenge of 112 new gifts is met within the 24 hour period, these generous alums will give large gifts to the school. These gifts are meant to motivate donors to give back - especially our youngest alums!

WHAT ARE THE WAYS THE GIVE?
